Happy New Year!
I saw in the new year over in Norfolk, we started the evening with a gig Dan’s step dad played but it didn’t all go to plan so we ended up back at his mum’s to watch the fireworks on the TV, eat cheese and drink Prosecco in our pyjamas which was pretty perfect actually.
I’m not one for the whole ‘new year, new me’ shenanigans but I do like to have goals. 2017 had a bit of a rough start, I wasn’t sure what my life would be like by the end of the year and I certainly didn’t think it would turn out as well as it did!
Overall I had a pretty good year, I learnt a lot about myself, I got my MA degree, I got a job that I enjoy where I can make good use of my new qualification, I got back in touch with an old friend, I started my blog, my relationship is better than ever and on Christmas morning Dan asked me to marry him! I of course said yes, you can read more about that here.
2017 was a year that I had to work hard to get what I wanted and I achieved my goals but I want 2018 to be different. I want to say yes more, to have more fun and see more of my friends. I know wedding planning is stressful and with the nature of Dan’s job I may be doing a lot of it on my own and relying on my friends and family to pitch in, but I want to take the opportunity to spend time with people I care about and make it as much fun as possible.
I’m so excited to share it all with you guys too!
What are your goals for next year?
Until next time!
Congratulations on the engagement!
